"Puyallup Tribal Council gave out $2,00.00 To Puyallup Tribal Elders"
Except, you have to be 55 and older that's great for them but what about the elders that are 54,53,52...45? council invites you to a dinner and you get $50.00 for your birthday, is that all? i guess so!
Every tribal elder from 45 to 54 should be asking where's our $2,000.00. and 45 to 61 should be asking where's our $5,000.00 from last year when the tribal council gave out $5,000.00 to every tribal elder 62 and over.
It is sad that the tribal council is separating our elders like this, this is the non-indian way not our way.
All tribal elders should be valued and respected in the same way. This latest attempt by the council to gain support was not only shamefull but a total lack of respect to all of our tribal elders.
If the Tribal Council really wants to help the Elders then quit trying to buy them off, build a facility we can be proud of and provide services that every tribal elder can take part in.
please tribal council help all of our elders, don't divide them.
    A SAD DAY.
